Management

Meryl Pick (BScEng (Chem), MBA) Meryl joined Old Mutual Investment Group in February 2012. Meryl is a portfolio manager and the Head of Research. In addition to directing the research process, she has the following research responsibilities covering gold, hospital groups, Sasol, clothing retail and heavy equipment. Meryl's logical and disciplined approach have been key attributes to her success as head of research and a portfolio manager. She is the portfolio manager of the Old Mutual Gold Fund and jointly manages Old Mutual's flagship general equity unit trust, Old Mutual Investors' Fund and third-party equity mandates (Institutional and Retail) with Siboniso Nxumalo. Prior to joining OME, Meryl was a Business Efficiency Manager at ABSA for two years. She also worked at Unilever for five years, where her role included, among others, being a Process Engineering Manager.
