The Oasis Bond Fund, whilst still in its infancy, has increased rapidly in size to R194m at 30 September 2002. By avoiding exposure to overvalued long-term paper, the Fund has been able to offer a moderate annualised yield of 11.9%, whilst retaining the ability to take advantage of capital gains as interest rates decline and the inflationary outlook improves.
